Documentation of Allegations of Student Misconduct. The primary responsibility for managing the classroom environment rests with the faculty member. The term classroom management refers to the procedures, strategies, and instructional techniques faculty use to manage student behavior and learning. Instructors have the authority to take appropriate action to maintain order and proper conduct in the classroom and to maintain effective cooperation of the class in fulfilling the objectives of the course as provided in WAC 132S-100-120. Allegations of student misconduct which could potentially violate the Student Code of Conduct (132S-100-120), as currently enacted and hereafter amended, shall be documented by faculty members and submitted to the Student Conduct Officer (SCO). The documentation should include date, time, place, witnesses and any pertinent facts and/or evidence that clarify the incident.
