Documented Verbal Warning. Documents a verbal communication given to the employee that informs the employee that an offense has been committed and that a repeat offense that occurs within twelve (12) months may result in more severe discipline. It shall also contain direction on how the employee is to correct the violation.
Documented Verbal Warning. A documented verbal warning is used when an infraction of a policy, inappropriate conduct or behavior, and/or unsatisfactory job performance has occurred. The manager may consult with the HRG prior to any investigatory meeting with the employee. The supervisor will prepare a written memorandum to the employee stating the infraction or concern for inclusion in the employee’s departmental file. A corrective action plan (if applicable) with time frames should be included in the memorandum to assist the employee in bringing performance back to appropriate standard.
Documented Verbal Warning. This is the first step in the progressive discipline process. The warning will identify the offense, the expectations, time frame, if applicable, and what the outcome will be if the expectations are not met.
