Common use of Documented Verbal Warning Clause in Contracts

Documented Verbal Warning. A documented verbal warning is used when an infraction of a policy, inappropriate conduct or behavior, and/or unsatisfactory job performance has occurred. The manager may consult with the HRG prior to any investigatory meeting with the employee. The supervisor will prepare a written memorandum to the employee stating the infraction or concern for inclusion in the employee’s departmental file. A corrective action plan (if applicable) with time frames should be included in the memorandum to assist the employee in bringing performance back to appropriate standard.
