Common use of Drilling and Producing Restrictions Clause in Contracts

Drilling and Producing Restrictions. Lessor and Lessee agrees that the Secretary may impose restrictions as to time or times for drilling of xxxxx and as to the production from any well or xxxxx drilled when, in his judgment, such action may be necessary or proper for the protection of the natural resources of the Leased Premises and the interests of Lessor. In the exercise of his judgment, the Secretary may take into consideration, among other things, federal and tribal laws and regulations, and lawful agreements among operators regulating either drilling or production.
