Common use of Driving Licence Clause in Contracts

Driving Licence. If the Director is prosecuted or convicted of a driving offence which results in a period of disqualification, and the holding of a licence is an essential requirement of the job, the Director may be dismissed in the event that no suitable alternative work can be found. [Optional] Company mobile telephone A Company mobile telephone will be provided to the Director to assist with the proper performance of your duties. The cost of the line rental and all business calls will be met by the Company. [Optional] Whilst the mobile telephone is provided for business use, the Company will permit personal use of the telephone to reasonable levels. The Company reserves the right to monitor usage of the telephone and where usage is deemed, at the sole discretion of the Company, to be in excess of reasonable use, a deduction will be made from the Director’s salary to cover the cost. The Director must return the mobile telephone to the Company upon termination of employment. [Optional] Failure to return the mobile telephone, or failure to return the mobile telephone undamaged, will result in a deduction from final pay. [Optional] Company equipment On the termination date or at any other time when requested by the Company (on reasonable notice), the Director must return all equipment that has been provided to him/her for the effective performance of his/her role in good condition to [insert details].
