Duty Extension Sample Clauses

A Duty Extension clause allows for the extension of a party's obligations or deadlines under a contract when certain conditions are met. Typically, this clause applies in situations where unforeseen events, such as delays outside the control of the obligated party, prevent timely performance. For example, if a supplier cannot deliver goods on time due to a natural disaster, the duty extension clause may grant additional time to fulfill the contract. Its core practical function is to provide flexibility and fairness by accommodating delays, thereby reducing the risk of breach due to circumstances beyond a party's control.
