Effect of Population. based Payment (PBP)‌ Under the NGACO Model, an ACO can elect to participate in Population-Based Payments, under which certain Next Generation Participants may agree to receive Population Based Payment Fee Reductions, which will reduce their FFS payment reimbursements from CMS.
