Effective Date of Longevity Steps. When all requirements have been met for receiving a longevity step, the effective date for the increase shall be the first (1st) day of the anniversary month. For purposes of Section 8.2.2, the anniversary date for employees hired after July 1, 1976 shall be the effective date on which the employee was appointed to District employment by the Board of Trustees.
