Elected Members. No member of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of New Brunswick shall be admitted to any share or part of the Contract or to any benefit arising therefrom.
Elected Members. (a) Community Committee: responsibility delegated from Executive Board to develop and agree the SLA each year and to monitor the delivery of the service against the agreed specifications and outcomes. To negotiate changes to the SLA to address unforeseen issues/events and address service failure/inefficiencies.
(b) Community Committee Chair: to liaise with the Locality Manager to ensure that decisions on service delivery are being made in accordance with the SLA and that timely and accurate reports/information are provided for the Community Committee and relevant sub/▇▇▇▇ meetings in order for the Community Committee to meet its responsibilities. To work in partnership with other Chairs across the relevant ‘wedge’ and the city as a whole as required (for example at the Area Chairs’ meeting).
(c) Environment Champion: to work collegiately with the other Environmental Champions and the Executive Member for Environmental Protection and Community Safety to help change attitudes and behaviours across the city that will improve the environment at a local level. To increase the understanding of the barriers and issues faced at locality level to improving local environmental quality and promote the delivery of solutions through partnership working.
(d) Environmental Sub-group: to receive quarterly reports on the delegated services and closely monitor the performance and outcomes of the SLA. To consider in-year variations to the SLA, where necessary making recommendations to the Community Committee for the Locality Manager to implement. To undertake an annual review of the SLA and the development of a refreshed SLA for 2016/17. To consider equality, diversity, community cohesion and community safety matters in relation to the delegation of environmental services.

Elected Members. The involvement of elected Members of Pembrokeshire County Council throughout the Plan process is recognised as being of key importance by the CIS. The role of Members during Plan preparation is complex and varied. They will provide information on and represent their local areas, disseminate information to local residents and also provide a strategic input on matters affecting the whole Plan area. Members’ seminars will be held before meetings of Cabinet where the LDP is being considered. The Cabinet Member for Planning and Sustainability is responsible for the LDP. The approval of Full Council will be required at the Preferred Strategy and the Deposit Plan stages. It will also be needed for the Delivery Agreement, following consultation but prior to submission to Welsh Government.
Elected Members. 5.5.2.1.1. Members will be kept informed of the Plan’s progress throughout the preparation process.
5.5.2.1.2. Elected Members will be expected to act as champions for the RLDP preparation process by keeping their constituents up to date with progress. All- Member seminars will be held at appropriate times.
Elected Members. 5.3.4.1 Elected Members will be expected to act as champions for the RLDP preparation process by keeping their constituents up to date with progress. All-Member seminars will be held at appropriate times during the plan preparation process, in particular in advance of periods of public consultation. This will help to inform Council Members of the development and progress of the plan and to encourage engagement with their constituents to widen public awareness, with the intention of maximising benefits from Members' roles and the participation of the public. Members may be asked to distribute information directly to digitally excluded residents and share information via their own community social media pages.
5.3.4.2 In addition, the RLDP Member Working Group will regularly receive Pre-committee Briefings to enable a direct role in the evolution of RLDP strategies and policies and to influence the plan's direction and priorities.
5.3.4.3 Council Members will also be invited to take part in pre-booked 'drop-in' sessions with officers of the LDP Team (either on-line or in person as appropriate) to facilitate communications between the public, Members, and Officers to help to spread awareness of the RLDP preparation process and emerging strategies and proposals and to enable the views of the community and wider public to be made known. These are likely to be held during the stages of informal Community feedback on the Candidate Sites Register, to give members the opportunity to share information about sites within their wards.
5.3.4.4 ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and briefings with the Cabinet Member for Regeneration & Sustainable Development will be held regularly throughout the RLDP preparation process.
5.3.4.5 The number of wards in the County will reduce from 42 to 34 following the implementation of the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales Review of Community Arrangements in the County Borough of Neath Port Talbot and will result in 4 less County Councillors.
Elected Members. (1) The members of the Committee shall be elected by all of the voters of the district at the annual town election of each of the member towns. The term of office of each elected member shall be three years and until his successor is elected and qualified. At the first annual district election following the effective date of this amended Agreement and at every annual district election thereafter, there shall be elected one member of the Committee from the Town of Phillipston and either one or two members of the Committee from the Town of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ as 1 The original agreement was signed in 1955 and it was amended in 1977 - prior to the Education Reform Act of 1993, and further amended in 1998. is necessary to maintain the membership of the Committee in accordance with subsection I (a).
(2) Any person who is a resident of a member town and is qualified to vote for town officers where he resides shall be entitled to have his name printed on the ballot to be used at an annual district election if, at least thirty-five days before the date for holding such election, he shall file with the registrars of voters in the town in which he resides a written statement of his candidacy and with it a petition signed by at least thirty-five persons who reside in one or more of the member towns and who are qualified to vote for to'vvn officers where they reside. The Committee shall furnish blank certificates and petitions which shall be in substantially the following form: STATEMENT OF CANDIDATE I ( ), on oath declare that I reside at (number if any) on (name of street) in the town of ( ); that I am qualified to vote for town officers therein; that I am a candidate for membership on the Narragansett Regional School District School Committee for a term of (three years) ( years to fill a vacancy) to be voted for at the annual district election to be held on Monday, the day of the month of , in the year , and I suggest that my name be printed as such candidate on the ballot to be used at said annual district election.
Elected Members. In addition to providing information on request to elected members, the director reports to the education committee on a 6-week cycle. Reports cover all areas of service delivery, with the main categories being: • policy and strategy • service provision • performance monitoring and reporting • budget planning and monitoring Regular briefing meetings are held with the Convener and Vice Convener for Education, and with the Opposition spokesperson for Education.
Elected Members. Elected members shall be elected to serve a term of three years, or to such part thereof as a Participating Town shall be entitled. In the event that a Participating Town shall be required, because of a decrease in pupil enrollment, to reduce its representation, the term of the last elected member from that Town will expire on November 1st following the October 1st pupil census which indicated the need of said reduction. Elected members are eligible for reelection.
Elected Members. (1) The members of the Committee shall be elected with residency requirements, by all of the voters of the District at the annual town election of each of the member towns on the same day. The term of office of each elected member shall be three years and until his/her successor is elected and qualified. At the first annual District Town election following the effective date of this amended Agreement and at every annual District election thereafter, there shall be elected one member of the Committee from the Town of Phillipston and either one or two members of the Committee from the Town of Templeton as is necessary to maintain the membership of the Committee in accordance with subsection I (A). [1] The original agreement was signed in 1955 and it was amended in 1977 – prior to the Education Reform Act of 1993, and further amended in 1998. Options:
1) Get special legislation to maintain current election process.
2) Hold elections biannually in November with the State elections.
3) Utilize one of the other four approved processes.

b) elect members without residency requirements at State elections
c) weighing committee votes according to member town populations
d) appointed by local elected officials The language in “STATEMENT OF CANDIDATE” & “PETITION ACCOMPANYING STATEMENT OF CANDIDATE” could:
a. remain in the Agreement, particularly if the District is directly involved in the election of school committee members.
b. be placed in the Agreement as an appendix if the Towns manage the election of school committee members, but the Committee wants to maintain these conditions and procedures so the District could conduct elections if necessary and to maintain a permanent reference.
c. be deleted from the Agreement if the Towns manage the election of school committee members in a completely satisfactory manner and there is no need to maintain a record of these provisions.
