Common use of Election of Members Clause in Contracts

Election of Members. Each member must reside in the town which she or he represents. Each member must be elected consistent with the process for the election of town officials in said town and will be elected to open seats during the annual election or a special election in said town. The term of each elected member will begin on the first business day after his or her election and after being sworn in by the respective Town Clerk. A member who has not otherwise vacated his or her seat will continue to serve until his or her successor is elected and sworn.
