The following applies for wrecking service only which is defined as a call of any duration requiring the use of an auxiliary wrecking outfit, mobile crane, bulldozer, or any other such device including re-railers. This rule shall also apply on rest days with the exception that, if held over on rest days and not requested to work they shall be paid a maximum of eight hours at straight time rate for each rest day so held. 17.9 Employees called for wrecking service will be provided meals and lodging. 17.10 The methods of payment provided for in this Rule shall apply except as they may be affected by the application of the provisions governing service on general holidays. 18.1 When vacancies occur in positions, such as a leading hand supervising the work of a gang – the senior applicant of the trade will be appointed and the Local Chairperson shall be consulted before any appointment is made. 18.2 A tradesperson, having necessary qualifications and experience in his/her trade, to be able to direct and supervise the work of a group of employees under the supervision of a recognized assistant supervisor or departmental supervisor. 18A.1 When vacancies occur in positions, such as a Work Cell Leader supervising the work of a multi-classification gang, the Local Chairperson shall be consulted before any appointment is made. 18A.2 A tradesperson, having necessary qualifications and experience to be able to direct and supervise the work of a group of employees under the supervision of a recognized assistant supervisor or departmental supervisor.

When a new employee is made. 18A.2 A tradespersonhired, having necessary qualifications the Company will supply the financial secretary of the CAW Local 103 with the name, employee number, and experience to date of hire of the employee.
19.2 Unless otherwise specified, basic seniority territory shall be able to direct and supervise the work of a group Railway system.
