Emergency Switching Sample Clauses

The Emergency Switching clause allows for the immediate transfer or substitution of services, personnel, or resources in response to unforeseen or urgent situations. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which such a switch can occur, such as equipment failure, safety hazards, or other emergencies, and may specify the process for notifying relevant parties and implementing the change. Its core practical function is to ensure continuity of operations and minimize disruption during emergencies by providing a clear mechanism for rapid response and adaptation.
Emergency Switching. TasNetworks and Network User must have operating staff available to ensure minimal delay in performing switching which could be requested by the other party at less than the notice specified in clause 7.1 due to an emergency.
Emergency Switching. Subject to item 4.8 of this Schedule 8, if a party reasonably considers that switching must be carried out urgently to avoid a serious risk of damage to property or to avoid any risk of injury or death to any person (“Emergency Switching”), that party may, with as much notice as is reasonably practicable in the circumstances: (a) request the other party to carry out switching on that party’s assets, plant and equipment; and/or (b) carry out switching on its own assets that may affect the Transmission Network Connection Point. A party must use all reasonable endeavours to comply with any request made under this item 4.7.
Emergency Switching. (a) Subject to item 2.7 (“Unilateral Emergency Switching”) of this Schedule 4 (“Operational procedures”), if a party reasonably considers that switching must be carried out urgently to avoid a serious risk of damage to property or to avoid any risk of injury or death to any person (“Emergency Switching”), that party may, with as much notice as is reasonably practicable in the circumstances: (i) (switching request) request the other party to carry out switching on that party’s Connection Assets; and/or (ii) (carry out switching) carry out switching on its own assets that may affect the Transmission Network Connection Point. Emergency Switching. This section would include Generator specific information during Emergency Operations. Elexicon’s personnel may request and obtain the permission of the Generator’s Controlling Authority to act as the Issuing and Establishing Authority under the Utility Work Protection Code with respect to the ability to operate the Generator-owned disconnect switch# Elexicon to Complete during emergencies. Elexicon shall have the capability to unlock, operate and lock switch Elexicon to Complete with Elexicon’s lock using a single-lock arrangement. Until such time when Elexicon deems it safe for the generator to reconnect, Elexicon will open and lock the disconnect as described above. When Elexicon deems it safe for the generator to reconnect, Elexicon will: (a) Remove Elexicon lock, leaving disconnect in OFF position. (b) Remove Elexicon lock, operate disconnect switch, leaving disconnect in ON position, and locking disconnect cabinet using a single-lock configuration. (c) Remove Elexicon lock, operate disconnect switch, leaving disconnect in ON position, and locking disconnect cabinet using a double-lock configuration. By choosing either option (b) or (c) above, the Generator acknowledges that they will not be notified prior to Elexicon closing the abovementioned disconnect. The Generator accepts sole responsibility for all risks to personnel safety, and potential for equipment damage of any kind.
