Employee and Manager. If any employee has a grievance, the employee and the Union representative, if requested by the employee, shall first present the grievance in writing to the employee’s Manager within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date the employee became aware or reasonably should have been aware of the event from which the grievance arose. Upon receipt thereof, the Manager shall attempt to resolve the problem and shall respond in writing to the employee within fourteen (14) calendar days following receipt of the written grievance.
