Endorsement and Collection of Checks, Etc. The Custodian is hereby authorized to endorse and collect all checks, drafts or other orders for the payment of money received by the Custodian for the account of a Portfolio; provided, however, that the Custodian shall not be liable for any monies, whether or not represented by check, draft, or other instrument for the payment of money, received by it on behalf of that Portfolio, until the Custodian actually receives and collects such monies directly or by the final crediting of the account representing that Portfolio's interest in the Book-Entry System or a Depository.
