Engagement of contractor to remediate. Where, during the Defects Rectification Period, the Vendor has not corrected the Defects within 14 days of receiving notice of each Defect from the Purchaser or such other period as the Purchaser may require (having regard to the nature and effect of the Defect), the Purchaser may engage another contractor to correct the Defect, in which case the Vendor must reimburse the Purchaser for all expenses incurred and the Purchaser may deduct such amounts from any sum that may be payable to the Vendor under the Purchase Order.
