Common use of Enlarging or Expanding a Nonconforming Use Clause in Contracts

Enlarging or Expanding a Nonconforming Use. Nonconforming single-family residences located landward of the 1980 SCL may be enlarged or expanded in conformance with applicable bulk and dimension standards by the addition of space to the main structure or by the addition of normal appurtenances upon approval of a CUP. If an existing use conforms with SMP use regulations but does not conform with SMP setback, height, or density requirements the use may be enlarged or expanded if the extent of non- conformity is not increased.
