Equipment Change. No operator shall be required to operate, beyond the nearest practicable change point, a vehicle not in a safe condition and/or not equipped with all safety appliances as prescribed by law, except that the age or type of equipment shall not in and of itself be a ground for refusal to operate a motor coach or vehicle. The Company agrees to comply with all safety rules promulgated by the State of California and the Federal Government.

Equipment Change. In the event of an equipment change which does not require the original number of flight attendants scheduled, Scheduling will first reassign reserves, if any. If the trip still does not require the remaining number of flight attendants, the senior bid line holder(s) may take or opt off the trip. However, FLSs and the ISM may be required to take or complete the trip when the trip still needs their special qualification(s). If the trip does not require the original number of FLSs, the senior FLS may take or opt off the trip. If the reserve is not reassigned and travels on the same flight, s/he will be included in the senior option as provided in Section 5.G.6. The surplus flight attendant (who is either bumped off or who opts off the trip) shall, at her/his option, be pay protected in accordance with the provisions of Section 5.K.

Equipment Change. Any change in Licensee’s approved equipment other than like for like or substantially similar replacements of equipment requires technical approval from County, consistent with Sections 2, “Use of Premises,” and 12, “Interference”. To initiate approval for a change of non like for like equipment, Licensee must first contact County to obtain written approval.
