EQUIPMENT PURCHASE. a. Prior authorization in writing by the CALTRANS Contract Manager and BCOE Program Manager shall be required before SUB-CONTRACTOR enters into any non- budgeted purchase order or agreement exceeding $500 for supplies, equipment, or consultant services. SUB-CONTRACTOR shall provide an evaluation of the necessity or desirability of incurring such costs.
