Establishment of Default Exclusion Zone. The Lessee must ensure a 500 m (1640 ft) default exclusion zone for cetaceans, pinnipeds, smalltooth sawfish and sea turtles. Lessee must ensure that a 200- meter default the exclusion zone for all cetaceans, pinnipeds, and sea turtles will be is monitored by a protected species observer around any vessel conducting geotechnical surveysthe electromechanical sound source survey equipment. Lessee may not use HRG survey devices that emit sound levels that exceed the 160 dB Level B harassment zone boundary without approval by Lessor. As a condition of approval, Lessor may impose additional, relevant requirements on Lessee, including but not limited to, required expansion of this exclusion zone.
