Estimate of Quantities. The quantities as shown in the Bid forms may be approximate and are given only as a basis of calculation for comparing Bids and awarding Contracts. The County does not guarantee that the actual quantities involved will correspond with the estimate.
Estimate of Quantities. Article 1101.07 "Estimate of Quantities" is supplemented and modified as follows:
Estimate of Quantities. The Contractor is advised that quantities of items are estimates only and that actual quantities may vary widely from estimates given herein. Estimates given are based on previous experience and not on completed surveys. The Contractor will order signs, brackets and sign post in quantities as approved and/or directed by the Engineer. The Engineer reserves the right to increase or decrease the above quantity by any amount up to 50% of the total amount estimated herein. Actual quantities may be more or less than that noted on the bid schedule and if so, no claims for damage or loss of profit shall accrue to the Contractor by reason thereof.
Estimate of Quantities. A. For all work let on a unit price basis, the Engineer's estimate of quantities, as shown in the notice to bidders and the proposals is understood to be approximate only, and will be used only for comparing bids except as otherwise provided in the basis of payment for the various classes of work.
