Evaluation by Colleagues Sample Clauses
The 'Evaluation by Colleagues' clause establishes a process where an individual's performance, conduct, or work is assessed by their peers within the same organization or professional group. Typically, this involves structured feedback or formal reviews conducted by colleagues who have direct knowledge of the individual's work, such as in academic tenure reviews or professional peer assessments. The core function of this clause is to ensure that evaluations are informed by those with relevant expertise and firsthand experience, promoting fairness and credibility in the assessment process.
Evaluation by Colleagues. The File Preparation Committee of the initiating unit is responsible for obtaining independent col- legial evaluations of the candidate’s teaching abil- ities. The teaching should be judged, of course, by those colleagues who are most familiar with the candidate’s area. In addition, the File Prepara- tion Committee will normally solicit evaluations from the department or program coordinator and course directors. The detailed, confidential reports of the evaluators must satisfy the basis of the evaluation (for example, class visitation, examination of course materials) and must be submitted to the File Preparation Committee.
