Common use of Event of Loss – Engine or APU Clause in Contracts

Event of Loss – Engine or APU. Upon the occurrence of an Event of Loss with respect to an Engine or APU, under circumstances in which there has not occurred an Event of Loss with respect to the Aircraft, Lessee shall forthwith, but in any event, before the earliest to occur of (x) the Scheduled Termination Date, (y) the Termination Date, and (z) sixty (60) days after the Event of Loss Date, convey to Owner, free and clear of all Liens, title to another engine or, as applicable, auxiliary power unit of the same or an improved model and suitable for installation and use on the Airframe.
