Common use of Exception to Period of Notice Clause in Contracts

Exception to Period of Notice. The period of notice for original and status change rejection on probationary period may be shortened as necessary in the event of the employee’s incompetence or gross misconduct which jeopardizes essential services. At the employee supervisor’s discretion an employee’s probationary period may be shortened, due to demonstrated satisfactory job performance. However, in such cases an employee must serve at least thirty (30) calendar days of the probationary period.
