Existing Condition Analysis.Β Under this task, the Consultant will prepare a summary of existing traffic operating conditions within the study area for the weekday AM and PM study periods. This task is comprised of the following key subtasks: πŸ• Compile Background Data – The Consultant will compile new traffic data and available traffic information related to the study area. Relevant information may include volumes (autos, trucks, pedestrians, and bicyclists), congestion patterns, travel times and speeds, HOV and Express Lane usage, collision rates, and metering rates. Existing sources may include Caltrans Traffic Census, PeMS, HOV Lane Report, Truck Volume Book, TASAS accident database, and other recent regional and local studies.
Existing Condition Analysis.Β The existing condition analysis will focus on, but not limited to the following aspects: β€’ Existing land use and historical population and employment growth trend; β€’ High density area of population and employment; β€’ Distribution of transit dependent population; β€’ Future land use and growth pattern; β€’ Travel pattern of Fulshear residents and workers (origin and destination); β€’ Current travel time reliability and safety concern for Fulshear residents and workers; and, β€’ Existing and projected future transit demand.
Existing Condition Analysis.Β Using the base mapping information provided above by the Client, Gensler will document the existing site conditions as noted above. Gensler will visit the Project site to verify reasonably observable conditions. Client acknowledges that pre-existing, latent conditions may be revealed during the course of the Project, which may require Additional Services and/or modifications to the Project Budget and/or Schedule.
