Common use of Expiry and Extension of Contract Clause in Contracts

Expiry and Extension of Contract. The Contract shall expire on the original Expiry Date, unless the City exercises its option to extend the Contract, such extension to be upon the same terms (including the Rates in effect at the time of extension), conditions and covenants contained in the Contract. The option shall be exercisable by the City giving notice to the Supplier not less than thirty (30) days prior to the original Expiry Date. The notice shall set forth the precise duration of the extension.
