Extended Coverage Related to a Claim. When a Covered Person has a claim in process on the date that coverage terminates, a temporary extension of coverage will be granted for Covered Health Service related to the claim. The temporary extension will continue until: • The Covered Person is released from the care of Physician for a condition that is the basis of the claim; or • 12 months from the date of coverage under the Policy would otherwise have terminated whichever occurs first.
