Extended Day. 8.8.3.1 At each school site, a Unit member may be assigned a work schedule within six contiguous periods, although the school day may extend up to ten periods. For example, a unit member may be assigned a schedule (including a preparation period) during periods, 1-6,2-7,3-8,4-9,or 5-10. 8.8.3.2 Unit members who are assigned schedules that include periods 1,8,9, or 10 shall be selected from volunteers first. If schedule needs cannot be met with volunteers, a Unit member may be assigned to a schedule that includes 1,8,9,or 10.
