Common use of Extension of Deadlines Clause in Contracts

Extension of Deadlines. 5.1 The City and the Purchaser acknowledge and agree that time is of the essence and that the Parties intend for this transaction to close on or before the Closing Date. Upon written request from the other Party, either Party may, at its absolute discretion, agree to grant an Extension, but neither Party shall be obligated to grant any Extension or Extensions whatsoever.
