FAA Involvement as Observers. FAA Subject Matter Experts, as designated by the Flight Standards Service, will have the right to participate as observers in the EASA Standardization Inspection. This participation is limited to observe the standardization activities only on areas pertinent to the Agreement, namely Annex I to Regulation 1178/2011 and EU Special Conditions. The inspection will be scheduled as required by Regulation (EU) No. 628/2013. The FAA will not have an active role in conducting the inspections. As observers of the Inspection Team, FAA Subject Matter Experts will follow the appropriate EASA working procedures as referred in paragraph 12.1.4 below.
