Faculty Authority and Responsibility. The following are principles and procedures in four areas wherein substantial overlap exists between legitimate individual teaching faculty professional concerns and college administrative concerns. The Board recognizes the right of professional faculty members to make the professional judgments necessary to fulfill their roles. The Association recognizes the Board's responsibility to establish and implement the philosophy, mission, goals and objectives of the College. Each party recognizes its responsibility to focus on student needs.
