Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988 (as applicable). The contractor shall comply with Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988 which Amends Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968 that prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin in the sale, rental and financing of dwellings. The 1988 Amendments Act extends coverage of the 1968 Act to persons with disabilities and families with children. In addition, the 1988 Amendments establish certain design and construction requirements for new multi-family housing built for first occupancy on or after March 13, 1991.
