Common use of Federal Requirements and Guidance Clause in Contracts

Federal Requirements and Guidance. The Recipient agrees to, and assures that each Third Party Participant will, prohibit discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin, and: (i) Comply with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e, et seq.; (ii) Comply with Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended, 42 U.S.C. §§ 12101, et seq.; (iii) Facilitate compliance with Executive Order No. 11246, “Equal Employment Opportunity” September 24, 1965 (42 U.S.C. § 2000e note), as amended by any later Executive Order that amends or supersedes it in part and is applicable to federal assistance programs; (iv) Comply with federal transit law, specifically 49 U.S.C. § 5332, as provided in section 12 of this Master Agreement; (v) FTA Circular 4704.1 “Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Requirements and Guidelines for Federal Transit Administration Recipients;” and (vi) Follow other federal guidance pertaining to EEO laws, regulations, and requirements.
