Fee Calculation and Collection. The assessment fee will be deducted from the amount due the Contractor on the monthly construction estimate, and thus retained by the Department. The Engineer will determine the time of overlap of lane closure(s) or obstruction(s) for calculating the assessment fee. Perform work in a manner to prevent degradation of receiving waters, facilitate project construction, and comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Article 506.3., “Qualifications, Training, and Employee Requirements,” is voided and not replaced. Section 506.4.1., “Contractor Responsibilities,” Section 506.4.2., “Implementation,” and Section 506.4.3., “General,” are voided and replaced by the following:
