Felonious Assault Clause Samples
The Felonious Assault clause defines actions that constitute an assault committed with criminal intent, typically involving the use or threat of force that is unlawful and intended to cause harm. In practice, this clause applies to situations where an individual intentionally threatens or inflicts serious bodily injury on another person, often with a weapon or under circumstances that elevate the severity of the offense. Its core function is to clearly delineate the boundaries of criminal conduct regarding assaults, ensuring that such acts are subject to legal penalties and providing a basis for prosecution and deterrence.
