Field Allowance. 7.3.1 Teachers are entitled to the field allowance, specified in Appendix D clause 1.4, when supervising students attending a school camp or school trip for more than one complete day. Where a teacher receives the field allowance the incidentals allowance shall not be payable.

Field Allowance. 40.1 A pro rata field allowance, commencing at $63.16 per day, will be available to cover the cost of food and camping consumables to an employee required to camp out in the field on excursions undertaken at the request of the relevant Head of School for the University. 40.2 The field allowance is in addition to all travelling expenses, fares and hire charges involved in the trip and assumes that all camping and living out gear is provided by the employee. 40.3 Where such an allowance is combined with the normal per diem allowance payable, the per diem allowance will cease and the field allowance will commence at the time when the employee leaves the metropolitan area or main country town directly into the field and will cease upon return to either of these centres, whereupon the normal per diem allowance will apply.
Field Allowance. An employee shall be paid Field Allowance if absent from their usual place of employment on field duties occupying a tent or other accommodation provided by Police; and the employee provides meals or pays for them at a camp mess established in the field. Where meals are provided at a camp mess established in the field at a charge in excess of the basic rate, the actual mess charge may be refunded in lieu of the basic rate. Where the accommodation is not rent free the rates may be increased by the amount of the rent. The allowance is payable to an employee for each 24 hour period and subsequent part day spent in the field or if overnight in the field but absent from their normal place of work for less than 24 hours. The daily rates for Field Allowance for each day or subsequent part day are ($22.80) ($23.49) ($24.19) plus an incidentals allowance ($12.65) ($13.03) ($13.42).
Field Allowance. If, on occasion, the employee is required, in the course of a business trip or temporary service (delegation) to stay in one place for an uninterrupted period of more than 28 (twenty- eight) days, the compensation for travel expenses shall be replaced by a field allowance as of the 29th (twenty-ninth) day. If the employee leaves the place only temporarily and it is clear that s/he has to return this shall not be deemed an interruption of the stay within the meaning of the above provision. If the employee is provided with reasonable free accommodation, the field allowance shall be reduced by one quarter per calendar day.
Field Allowance. (i) This allowance replaces camping allowance contained in Clause 34 of Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment) Reviewed Award 2009. (ii) This allowance is payable when an employee is required to stay overnight at a place other than their place of abode or commercial accommodation.
