Field Measurements. Contractor shall make field measurements, verify field conditions, and shall carefully compare such field measurements and conditions and other information known to Contractor with the Contract, including any plans, specifications, or scope of work before commencing Services. Errors, inconsistencies, or omissions discovered shall be reported to the City immediately and prior to performing any Services or altering the condition.
Field Measurements. Contractor shall make the layout of lines and elevations and shall be responsible for the accuracy of both the Contractor’s and the Subcontractors’ work resulting therefrom. All dimensions affecting proper fabrication and installation of all Contract work must be verified by the Contractor prior to fabrication and installation by taking field measurements of the true conditions. The Contractor shall take, and assist Subcontractors in taking, all field dimensions required in performance of the work, and shall verify all dimensions and conditions on the Site. If there are any discrepancies between dimensions in Drawings (or Plans) and existing conditions which will affect the work, the Contractor shall promptly bring such discrepancies to the attention of the Architect for adjustment before proceeding with the work. Contractor shall be responsible for the proper fitting of all work and for the coordination of all trades, Subcontractors and persons engaged upon this Contract.
Field Measurements. A. Although care has been taken to ensure their accuracy, the dimensions shown for existing items and structures are not guaranteed. It is the responsibility of the General Contractor to verify these dimensions in the field before fabricating any construction component. No claims for extra payment due to incorrect dimensions will be considered by the Town of Wellesley.
