Field Training Officer Incentive Pay. ‌ 1. The Sheriff may designate qualified individuals as a Field Training Officer (“FTO”). 2. Upon assignment to train or supervise the training of an individual “trainee officer,” the FTO will receive an incentive increase of five percent (5%) of the employee’s base wage in addition to the FTO’s normal base hourly rate of pay for each hour of actual FTO duties performed pursuant to such assignment. 3. The FTO incentive pay applies to all FTOs regardless of the Division they are assigned to. 4. The Sheriff shall have the sole and full discretion to make the FTO assignment and to remove someone from such assignment.
