Common use of Fire Safety Clause in Contracts

Fire Safety. Resident is responsible for periodically testing smoke detectors in the Unit and for reporting defective detectors. Tampering with smoke detectors is prohibited. Fire extinguishers must not be removed from their hangers except for use in the case of fire. Resident agrees to participate in fire drills. Resident agrees to report immediately any known, expended extinguisher to UHRL for replacement. In the event of a fire in the Unit or the Building, and if it can be done without jeopardizing the safety of the Resident, Resident must notify the Fire Department by calling 9-1-1 and/or the PSU Campus Public Safety Office at ▇▇▇-▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇.
