Flextime Work Schedule. A non-regular work schedule with or without a consistent pattern as to the number of work hours per day or week; but an arrangement whereby the employee is obligated to perform work and be responsible for flexing the hours of their own work schedule in accordance with written arrangements agreed to by the employee and the appointing authority.
Flextime Work Schedule. Upon mutual agreement with the Department Head, employees may work their required hours under a "flextime" arrangement which may include a ten (10) hour, four (4) day schedule. This option shall be mutually agreed upon provided that all City functions can be accomplished through flexible hours and provided there will not be an adverse impact upon efficiency within the department.

An arrangement that may include a consistent daily schedule with individualized starting and ending times that are the same throughout the week or a varying daily schedule that starts or ends at different times each day. The schedule may consist of consistent eight (8) hours days throughout the week or a varying daily schedule of more or less than eight (8) hours. For full-time employees, the total weekly hours for both consistent and varying schedules must be 40 for the workweek. Employees with a flextime work schedule shall have a workweek from Sunday at 12:00 a.m. to Saturday at 11:59 p.m. If an employee’s Flextime work schedule includes a day off during the week, the employee cannot change their regular day off. If an employee’s Flextime work schedule includes one or more day(s) off during the week, the employee cannot change their regular day(s) off.
