FOCUS GROUPS AND RESEARCH INTERVIEWS Sample Clauses

FOCUS GROUPS AND RESEARCH INTERVIEWS. We will work with City staff and the Study Review Committee to identify stakeholders that can provide insights about housing market dynamics or inform us about the housing-related programs or initiatives that are already in place. Stakeholders might include public officials, developers, property managers, housing advocates, neighborhood representatives, business owners, and other people familiar with local housing needs and market dynamics. They also may be resident populations that face particular housing challenges or needs. We will facilitate conversations with stakeholders in both focus groups and individual interviews. This work plan encompasses an estimated five focus groups and fifteen to thirty individual interviews. Individual research interviews will occur during both the analysis and the strategies phase of the project. Interviews with builders and developers who focus on different housing types are an integral part of our market analysis and housing strategies research. If desired, we have found it effective in previous projects to loop City staff into discussions with peer cities and regions who have been innovative in their response to housing challenges. Those conversations can spark a lot of new ideas. Three or four discussions with peer regions could be pursued in the strategies phase of the project.
