Common use of Foreign Cardholder Opt-In Clause in Contracts

Foreign Cardholder Opt-In. Merchant shall, based upon the instructions provided by Peoples Trust and/or the Card Associations, from time to time, provide Foreign Cardholders with the ability to “opt-in,” or consent to participate in DCC. In the event that a particular Foreign Cardholder elects not to opt-in, it is understood that Peoples Trust will process that Foreign Cardholder’s transaction in Canadian Dollars. Merchant agrees to make such reasonable modifications as Peoples Trust may request to increase the likelihood of Foreign Cardholders opting-into the DCC program. It is understood that any Foreign Transaction for which Merchant fails to provide a Foreign Cardholder with the opt-in procedure as described herein may be subject to a Chargeback as defined in the Agreement.

It is understood that any Foreign Transaction for which Merchant Xxxxxxxx fails to provide a Foreign Cardholder with the opt-in procedure as described herein may be subject to a Chargeback as defined in the Agreement.
