Full Year or Extended Clause Samples
The "Full Year or Extended" clause defines how contractual obligations or benefits are calculated when a contract period is either a full year or is extended beyond the original term. In practice, this clause specifies whether payments, services, or deliverables are to be prorated, adjusted, or continued if the contract is renewed or extended for additional time. For example, it may clarify how annual fees are handled if the contract is extended for only a few months or if a service period is less than a full year. The core function of this clause is to ensure fairness and clarity in the allocation of costs and responsibilities when contract durations change, preventing disputes over partial periods or extensions.
