Functions Performed. The EIMS Software shall consist of the following functional modules:
1. Precinct/District: Creates and maintains precincts, districts, and the relationship between those categories.
Functions Performed i. Monitors and observes patients for 15 minutes following vaccination;
ii. Observes and intervenes with patients experiencing signs/symptoms of fainting or allergic reaction; and
iii. Administers emergency medical care per medical protocols while activating the 911 system when appropriate.
Functions Performed i. Greet patients as they arrive and answer questions;
ii. Provide, or direct assistance to, persons with access or functional needs;
iii. Direct patients to the next station in clinic flow;
iv. Maintain patient lines throughout the clinic;
v. Ensure patient forms are completed;
vi. Recommend registration in v-safe to patients; and
vii. Register patients for second dose appointments, if applicable, before leaving observation.
Functions Performed i. Verifies patient is not contraindicated for the vaccine;
ii. Verifies patient’s informed consent;
iii. Fills syringes with appropriate vaccine dose;
iv. Administers vaccination through intramuscular injection;
v. Logs lot number, injection location and dose administered for each patient;
vi. Signs and dates patient’s client card;
vii. Ensures appropriate practice of universal precautions; and
viii. Properly cleans up and disposes of waste.
