Common use of General Changes Clause in Contracts

General Changes. 19.2.1 Any reports or recommendations about to be made to the University dealing with matters covered by this Agreement, including recommendations for changes in methods of operation that may affect wage rates, will be made known to the Union before they are dealt with by the University to allow the Union reasonable opportunity to consider them and to make representations to the University concerning them. 19.2.2 If employees are deprived of employment by an implementation of these changes, they will receive priority consideration for other employment with the University provided they possess the ability to adequately perform the work in question. This priority consideration will be consistent with the lay-off provisions and other clauses dealing with acquired rights.
