General Duties of the Contractor. 1. The Contractor shall process personal data exclusively within the framework of the arrangements made and/or in compliance with any supplementary instructions issued by the Client. Excluded from this shall be provisions of law that may oblige the Contractor to process the data in another way. In such case, the Contractor shall inform the Client of such legal requirements prior to processing, unless the law concerned prohibits such notification on grounds of important public interest. The purpose, type, and scope of data processing shall otherwise be exclusively determined by this Agreement and/or the instructions of the Client. Any data processing deviating from this shall be prohibited to the Contractor.
