Germane. All credits to be considered for application on any lane of the salary schedule shall be germane to the teacher's teaching assignment as determined by the School District.
Germane. A teacher shall be paid on the BS/BA+15 lane or higher if the credits earned are germane to the teacher’s teaching field or part of a definite career plan in the field of education as approved in writing by Human Resources.

Hours to be considered for a lane change cannot be earned while a teacher is being paid by the School District during professional leave or other assignments.

Current part-time and new teachers who hold two or more degrees in different curriculum areas will have placement on the salary schedule determined by the degree that relates to the majority of the teachers’ contracted assignment.
