Common use of Government and Sponsor Rights Clause in Contracts

Government and Sponsor Rights. Confidential information may have been developed under a grant or contract or in collaboration with the Government, state governments, research sponsors, or other entities. They may have rights in Confidential Information and may have the right to license or use Confidential Information, Patent Rights, and for Licensed Products. Upon written request, each party shall provide the other party with further information about any sponsor's or collaborator's rights, and the confidentiality obligations thereunto.
