Common use of Government Code Section 22893 Clause in Contracts

Government Code Section 22893. Notwithstanding Section 22892, the percentage of employer contribution payable for post retirement health benefits for any employee of a contracting agency subject to this section shall, except as provided in Government Code Section 22893, subdivision (b), be based on the member’s completed years of credited county service at retirement as shown in the following table: Credited Years of Service Percentage of Employer Contribution 11 55 12 60 13 65 14 70 15 75 16 80 18 90 19 95 20 or more 100 The employee’s contribution shall be adjusted each year in accordance with Government Code Section 22893. The County will provide medical premium payments for employees who retire from the County in accordance with Government Code Section 22893.
