Common use of GOVERNMENT LEGISLATION AND CONFLICTS Clause in Contracts

GOVERNMENT LEGISLATION AND CONFLICTS. 17.01 In the event that any of the provisions of this Agreement are found to be in conflict with any valid and applicable Federal or Provincial Law now existing or hereinafter enacted, it is agreed that such Law shall supersede the conflicting provision without in any way affecting the remainder of the Agreement. It is understood and specifically agreed that should any part of this Agreement be rendered invalid, the recognition and scope provisions of Articles 1 and 2 shall remain in full force and effect.

If such law supersedes a provision in any way affecting the agreement it shall not affect the remainder of the Agreement. It is understood and specifically agreed that should any part of this Agreement be rendered invalid, the recognition and scope provisions of Articles 1 and 2 shall remain in full force and effect.
