Common use of Grant of a Successor Franchise Clause in Contracts

Grant of a Successor Franchise. You agree to give us written notice of your election to acquire a successor franchise during the last year of the term of this Agreement, but not less than eight (8) months prior to the date of expiration of this Agreement. We agree to give you written notice ("Our Notice"), not more than one hundred eighty (180) days after we receive your notice, of our decision, in accordance with Article 13.1: 13.2.1. To grant you a five (5) year successor franchise; 13.2.2. To grant you a successor franchise on the condition that deficiencies of the BUSINESS or in your operation of the BUSINESS, are corrected; or 13.2.3. Not to grant you a successor franchise based on our determination that you and your owners have not substantially complied with this Agreement during its term.
